Societas is seeking a Production Director in Munich to lead, shape, and expand our production network. This role oversees the full lifecycle of our collections and sports collaborations, from technical development to delivery, ensuring that every product meets the highest standards of quality, functionality, and design integrity.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in sportswear production, a strategic mindset, and hands-on experience in scaling and managing complex production systems. You will play a key role in building and leading the production team, fostering strong supplier relationships, and driving innovation across product categories.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, structure, and grow the production team, creating clear workflows, responsibilities, and communication channels.
- Oversee the entire production network — from material sourcing to final delivery — ensuring precision, efficiency, and on-time execution across all partners and categories.
- Develop sourcing strategies for premium fabrics, technical materials, trims, and packaging, with a focus on performance and innovation.
- Direct the creation of technical documentation, including tech packs, BOMs, and production guides, ensuring consistent execution across all suppliers.
- Plan and manage capacity, timelines, and production cycles to balance speed, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Establish and maintain rigorous quality control processes, including regular factory visits and product evaluations.
- Drive continuous improvement and long-term partnerships with manufacturing and production partners.
- Collaborate closely with design, development, logistics, and marketing teams to ensure seamless integration from concept to market.
- Support the execution of sportswear and collaboration projects, ensuring each product aligns with both performance requirements and creative vision.
- Provide strategic input on sourcing diversification, scaling production capabilities, and long-term operational development.
YOUR PROFILE
- Degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in production management or product development, ideally within sportswear or performance apparel
- Proven track record in building and leading production teams and managing cross-functional workflows
- Strong technical understanding of functional materials, garment construction, and production processes
- Skilled in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and ERP systems
- Business fluency in German and English; additional languages are a plus
- Strategic, structured, and hands-on leader with excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Societas is seeking a Junior Product Developer Sportswear in Munich to support the creation of our collections and sports collaborations from concept to final product. You will work closely with design, production, and external partners to ensure every piece meets our standards for functionality, quality, and the Societas aesthetic. This position is also open to junior candidates with first experience in product development who are eager to grow.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the technical development of sportswear products, including the creation and maintenance of tech packs, BOMs, and production documentation.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure fit, materials, and trims align with both creative direction and performance requirements.
- Communicate with suppliers to request samples, quotations, and track timelines.
- Assist in fit sessions and sample reviews, document comments, and follow up with production partners.
- Help maintain quality standards by coordinating product testing and specification control.
